This converts by proportion, so it is indicative rather than an official ruling. Universities set their own entry requirements — confirm yours with the university or ask an advisor.
Common questions
What is China's 100-point scale?
Chinese universities ask international applicants for a score on a 100-point scale, however their own country grades them. This tool converts by proportion, so a result on any national scale lands on the same 100-point scale.
Does every Chinese university require the CSCA exam?
No. Of the universities in our directory that publish their CSCA status, most do not require it. Each university sets its own rule, so check the university's page or ask us.
Is this conversion official?
It is arithmetic, not an official ruling. It converts your result by proportion (your result divided by the maximum, times 100). Universities assess each applicant themselves and may use their own scale.
What score do I need to be accepted?
It depends on the university, the programme and the intake, and requirements change every year. Tell us your result and your target and an advisor will tell you where you realistically stand.
